The Nightcap Strangler…
He terrorized a small Vermont town 16 years ago and recently died in prison. Not a single murder in all that time. Until now. Rookie cop Bryan Kendal’s lover is dead in his bed, strangled. Nightcap’s signature shot glass is on the nightstand.
On the opposite coast…
Bryan’s high school girlfriend Dawn knows she’s the only one who can help him. But it will mean facing Bryan for the first time, five years after running away without a word. Worse, it’ll mean facing the demons that chased her across the country to begin with.
He might never forgive her…
But he has to accept her help when the victims start to pile up. They both know they’re the only ones who can stop the murders.
The killer knows it, too. He also knows Dawn is just his type--the kind of girl he’d like to share a nightcap with.
What people are saying…
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “I read, a lot, a large lot. It's been a while since I've left a rating altho' I used to write a bunch of them. I can't let this one go without one. I do love a good mystery, thriller, suspense etc. This one grabbed me from page one! Seriously, I didn't stop until I read the entire story in one sitting.” ~ Reviewer
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Once I got a few pages in I could not put this intriguing book down. A little bit about ghosts and the afterlife, lots of mystery, and a love story to enjoy what's not to make you want more?” ~ Reviewer
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “This author has a way to show you how little you may know about the people you associate with and look up to. The characters are almost like friends you know and people you have seen. Everything is so real and hard to believe it's just a story. This could happen to anyone and is very exciting. This was a great first book in a series and I had to start the next book right after I finished this one. It was very hard to put down.” ~Reviewer

Look Inside Ch. 1
Look Inside Ch. 1
It had been sixteen years since I’d killed anyone. But I was going to kill someone tonight.
It had also been sixteen years since I’d taken the Thunderbird out of the garage, where I kept it under lock and key. Garage, hell, it was more like a crypt. Back then, I thought the killer inside me would die, given time. So I’d buried him in my subconscious and buried his car in my garage, even covered it up with a death-shroud tarp. I’d covered the trophy wall, too. I’d told myself never to set foot inside the garage again.
But I had.
Every now and then, his voice would get to me, and I’d go in, start the T-bird up, let it run, listen to it purr and feel that old thrill I used to get when we had been on our way to take another victim. Sometimes I would even slide the phony pegboard wall aside to look at the cinder block wall it covered. To look at all their faces. Always smiling. Always young.
I’d taken the T-bird out tonight. And the kit. I’d brought the kit along, as well, though I had no intention of using it. I nearly always had the kit at hand. It was a way of testing myself, I think. A way of making sure I was the one in charge, the one in control. That I could resist the urges of the beast within.
